Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
The Tail
To make the tail, cut one more piece of string, 15 inches long, and tie it so that all 24 strings are passing through. Wrap it and tie it, wrap and tie, wrap and tie... three times altogether. It looks like this. The "wrap-and-tie" knot can be moved up and down, allowing adjustments to how loose everything is, which affects the sound.
Now for the 24 strings - I tied "quick knots" every few inches in some...
...and put beads at the end of others.
My friend, Afton, decided to braid the strings in groups of three, ending with a "quick knot," two beads, and another "quick knot." It looks very good. Here's one example.
Enjoy the process. It takes time to design and paint and string the beads, but it's worth it. Hope you had fun.
