Near the end of the story, after the Beast has decided to let her return to her home (but hasn't had a chance to tell her yet), Yllona-Belle has a conversation with her good friend, Miriana.
Miriana asks if Yllona has had any more dreams about the "lost prince," referring to some vivid dreams Yllona has experienced during her stay at the castle—dreams where a lost prince calls to her to find him, saying that he is in an unexpected place, and that she needs to look for him with her heart.
Yllona-Belle has searched the castle, but hasn't found the prince, and she wonders if maybe it was just a dream after all. Miriana is forbidden to tell what she knows, because the angel, Aurolanda, had said, "Do you see this rose? It will bloom every day. But you must never lose it... or you will remain a Beast always. And the girl, who comes to be your bride—no one here is to tell her how this happened, until the day she expresses her love for you. Remember, guard your words... and guard the rose."
Miriana is sad to hear that Yllona is giving up the search, but she listens as Yllona sings about the mystery of love. As Yllona sings, the Queen and the castle attendants, still wearing the dark masks and scarves they have worn as a symbol of mourning all these years, silently gather to listen.
(Narrator note: In the following narration, the name Yllona-Belle is pronounced Ee-lahn-uh-bell. The name Kanturin is pronounced Con-tour-in, and the strong syllable is "tour.")
During the summer of 2011, the Ocean Grove Children's Show learned and performed an original adaptation of the classic story Beauty and the Beast. The two main characters are a girl named Yllona-Belle, and a prince named Kanturin.

Miriana
Tell me, Yllona, have you had any more dreams...
about the lost Prince?
Yllona-Belle
(a little sadly) No. I searched all over the Castle,
but I never found him. Maybe...
it was just a dream after all.
Miriana
Oh... I’m really sorry.
Yllona-Belle
He called to me with such sincerity.
I almost felt like I knew him.
Miriana
Are you sure you didn’t?
Yllona-Belle
I don’t know. It’s a mystery I’ll have to let go of, I guess.
Love is like that, you know.
Miriana
What do you mean?
Song #13 - It’s a Mystery
Yllona-Belle
Words can’t explain it, but the heart still knows
Though none can tell you where it comes or goes
It’s a mystery you and I can’t say
At the same time near and far away
And the wonder of it is
How it lives and lives and lives
Love has a pathway all its very own
Love walks a highway known by Love alone
Ever distant, far beyond the stars
Yet as close as breath and breathing are
And there’s a wonder that it gives
As it lives and lives and lives
But the words I sing are only words
And though I’ve chosen them as best I could
Still I can’t begin to tell of things
I’ve never understood
Things I’ve never understood
Never understood
Still I keep on wondering things I cannot know
Love is high above me, yet it reaches far below
And I am caught in Love’s strong, pure embrace
Everywhere I am, and every place
That’s where Love is, that’s where Love is
And it’s a mystery beyond words
