Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Wendy, John, and Michael fly through the night to the island of Never-Never Land. As they near the island, Tink, jealous of Peter's attention, flies ahead and encourages Tootles, one of the Lost Boys, to "shoot the Wendy." Tootles aims an arrow at Wendy and hits her. Wendy is not seriously injured (the arrow hit a pin she was wearing), but she is weakened by her fall to the ground, so the Lost Boys build a house for her right there where she landed.
Down toward the island, flying through the blue mist, came Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Wendy, John, and Michael. Suddenly Tinker Bell, jealous of Peter's attention, shot ahead of them, intent on a purpose of her own.
She saw the Lost Boys gathered in a clearing on the island, but she also saw that one of them, a young boy named Tootles, was separated from the group, trying to catch up with the others. It was this one she singled out, saying that Peter's command was to "shoot the Wendy." Tootles obeyed, and his arrow brought Wendy down.
Fortunately, Wendy was not seriously injured (the arrow hit a pin she was wearing), but she was weakened by her fall to the ground, so the Lost Boys built a house for her right where she landed.
