Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Wendy, John, and Michael leave London and fly through the night to Never-Never Land. While they are traveling, there is activity on the island. The Lost Boys are searching for Peter Pan, the Pirates are out chasing the Lost Boys, the Indians are tracking the Pirates, and the wild animals are following the Indians. They are all going around in a big circle on the island.
Writer's Note: Because all of these groups are going around, the thought came to make it a "round." Each group is singing something different, but all the parts fit together at the end.
History of the Play: In the 1990 version, because the age of the participants included younger kids (all the way down to three years old), we had quite a few "Wild Animals" which made up the fourth group. In later years, when the age range was 8-15, the barking and howls were taken out and the fourth section in the music was designed for the entrance of the crocodile, who becomes the conductor of the whole ensemble as the song reaches the final section.
And fly away they did, just as Mr. and Mrs. Darling were arriving home. Out the window they went, above the treetops and rooftops, then over the river, higher and higher until all earth seemed like a memory.
Peter Pan was leading the way, and the children enjoyed every minute of the journey. Eventually, a dim, blue island appeared in the distance, surrounded by a soft blue mist, and it called to the children as though it were a paradise.
But under the dark trees, in the deep of the forest, the island held some surprises of its own. The Lost Boys were searching for Peter Pan, the Pirates were out looking for the Lost Boys, the Indians were tracking the footsteps of the Pirates, and wild animals were following the Indians.
And one wild animal, a crocodile who had swallowed a clock, was stalking the Pirate leader, Captain Hook. Around and around the island they all went: Lost Boys, Indians, Pirates, and animals! Around... and around... and around.

Song #8 - Around and Around
Lost Boys
Where are you, Peter Pan
We need you back again
We need your courage and daring and
we need you now
Where are you, Peter Pan
If you can hear us won’t you
please come out on the double ‘cause
we need you now
Keep looking for, keep looking for
Keep looking for Peter Pan
Keep looking for, keep looking for
Keep looking for Peter Pan
Pirates
Gonna catch ya, gonna catch ya
Gonna catch those children now
They keep on disappearing and
we don’t know how
Gonna catch ya, gonna catch ya
And when we do we’re gonna
make you pay for all the trouble you’ve
given us up till now
Gonna catch ya, gonna catch ya
You know for sure we’re gonna catch ya
Gonna catch ya, gonna catch ya
You know for sure we’re gonna catch ya
Indians
Pirates, Pirates
Gonna catch those Pirates
Wait till they cross the clearing and
they’ll catch a shower of
Arrows, arrows
Get your bows and arrows and we’ll
make them pay for all the trouble they’ve
given us up till now
Pirates, Pirates, gotta get those Pirates
Pirates, Pirates, gotta get those Pirates
Animals
Owoooo… arf arf
Owoooo… arf arf
(Lost Boys, Pirates and Indians all sing
their parts at the same time.)
Lost Boys
Where are you, Peter Pan…
Pirates
Gonna catch ya, gonna catch ya…
Indians
Pirates, Pirates…
Animals
(at ending) Owoooo… arf arf
